A storyteller, producer, and industry leader—Milena’s journey began with a passion for film and grew into a career spanning global productions, prestigious programs, and her own company, Film Road Production.
She earned her degree from the Film Academy in Belgrade, specializing in Film, TV, Theater, and Radio production. While studying, she actively sought hands-on experience, contributing to the production of various events, festivals, reality shows, commercials, and theatre productions. Notably, she was part of the marketing team for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2003.
Since 2007, Milena has been deeply involved in film production, taking on diverse roles in domestic films, international projects, and service companies. Her career highlights include participating in the Sarajevo Talent Campus, after which she was selected for the Sarajevo City of Film 2012, where she produced two short films with an international crew. At the 2013 Sarajevo Film Festival co-production market, Cinelink, she received the EAVE scholarship award, subsequently graduating from the EAVE program in 2014 and participating in EURODOC 2017 as part of the regional group.
In 2016, Milena founded her own production company, Film Road Production. In addition to leading her company, she is also active in producing, executive production, and line producing, collaborating with other production companies on both international and domestic projects.
